Time is rollin’ by and 2024 is right around the corner. To me each season seems to get better as the years go by. Maybe it is because as one gets older you appreciate certain things more that you once took for granted in the earlier years. That’s what many of the old timers say!

Here we are now in December and another season has come and gone! I am so grateful that in 2022 we were full steam ahead and were able to have our first full season of hunters since 2019, having clients come for both the spring and fall hunts.

The past year of 2018 marked the 18th season that we have been offering fair chase hunts in Alberta. The years seem to go by so quickly and this year was no different. We had many return clients and a number of new ones, a perfect balance. It is always nice to meet new clients as well as strengthen the relationships with the returning ones.

In 2018 our usual repeat hunters Carl Rossi, Al Ciprano, John D’Angelo and Mitch Mitchum came up for the early season hunt in the beginning of September. Carl harvested a super old deer that had regressed in antler size making it his 7th buck in 7 years.

Another big game hunting season has past here in Alberta. First of all I would like to thank all of you that came up for a hunt with us this year as well as those that have joined us in the past. The 2017 had an amazing start! Carl Rossi on his 6th straight bowhunt with us connect on a 199” giant on the second day of his hunt. Carl’s friends, Al, Wayne, John and Bernie were also hunting the same week. Wayne harvested a 175” buck, his best deer to date in the three bowhunts with us. Bernie took his first mule deer buck, a cool looking, non typical character deer that also taped over 170”.

After another real mild winter, the 2016 season looked promising in respect to mother nature being very easy on the animals in our areas.
