If waterfowl hunting is your
passion, join us for exciting goose hunting & duck hunting
in the prairies of southern Alberta. We will be hunting Canada
Goose, Mallard ducks and pintail ducks, in the heart of the
Pacific and Central flyways. Here millions of migrating ducks
and geese stage in the numerous lakes, ponds and reservoirs.
This area is mostly farmland providing the ducks and geese
with an abundant food source including endless fields of barley,
wheat and peas. The many potholes, lakes and reservoirs provide
great resting places for the local and migrating birds as
they start their journey south.
Our waterfowl hunts take place from early September when the
migration begins and continues through the end of the season
in December. With liberal limits and the number of waterfowl
migrating and nesting in our area, hunters will have excellent
opportunities to limit out each day.
Mornings will find us set up with top quality decoys and blinds
for an exciting shoot of ducks and geese. Alberta's limit
for ducks and geese is very liberal, hunters may take up to
eight Canada geese and eight ducks per day.
The number of shoots per day is dependent on whether or not
you limit out each morning. On a 3 day hunt you will be allowed
a maximum of 5 shoots and on a 5 day hunt a maximum of 9 shoots.
We provide great
opportunities for upland bird hunting. Thriving populations
of Hungarian partridge, sharptail grouse and the occasional
pheasant will provide the wingshooter with no shortage of
action. Upland bird limits vary depending on species taken.
We will strive to make your hunt as enjoyable and successful
as possible.
